Warner Bros Confirms Digital Release Date for Barbie

Warner Bros. Barbie and her iconic pink convertible are set to make their digital debut next week as the box office sensation arrives on various digital platforms.

With over $1.38 billion in worldwide revenue, the film broke records, and now fans can purchase it for $29.99 or rent it for $24.99 on platforms like Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Google Play, and Vudu, as confirmed by Warner Bros.

Directed by Greta Gerwig, this musical comedy follows Barbie, played by Margot Robbie, who also serves as an executive producer. Barbie experiences a profound existential crisis, prompting her to venture out of the idealistic world of Barbie Land in search of answers in the real world.

The star-studded cast includes Ryan Gosling as Ken, with Issa Rae, Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, Kate McKinnon, and Kingsley Ben-Adir portraying different versions of Barbie and Ken. Additionally, America Ferrera, Will Ferrell, Michael Cera, Rhea Perlman, and Ariana Greenblatt round out an ensemble of talented actors.

Warner Bros. also announced a one-week IMAX release starting on September 22, allowing audiences to enjoy the film on the biggest screen. Exclusive post-credits footage will also be shown during these screenings. Currently, the theatrical version does not include a post-credits scene.

Gerwig expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support of Barbie fans worldwide, who embraced the film and shared their experiences on social media. The movie’s success propelled Gerwig to become the first solo female director to surpass the $1 billion mark at the box office.
