Eddie Murphy will soon be gracing our screens with his new holiday film, Candy Cane Lane.
Directed by Reginald Hudlin and written by Kelly Younger, this comedic gem is set to debut on Prime Video globally on December 1st.
Murphy takes on his first holiday movie role alongside an incredible cast, including Tracee Ellis Ross, Nick Offerman, Robin Thede, and Chris Redd. In the movie, Murphy plays the role of Chris, a determined man who is set on winning his neighborhood’s annual Christmas home decoration contest.
However, things take an unexpected turn when he strikes a deal with Pepper, an elf played by Jillian Bell, to increase his chances of winning. Little does he know that this deal will bring the 12 Days of Christmas to life, wreaking havoc on his entire town.
With Christmas in jeopardy for his family, Chris, with the help of his wife Carol (Tracee Ellis Ross) and their three children, races against the clock to break Pepper’s spell and save Christmas. Along the way, they encounter deviously magical characters and face countless obstacles.
Joining Murphy in this holiday adventure are talented actors Thaddeus J. Mixson, Ken Marino, Genneya Walton, Madison Thomas, DC Young Fly, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, and Nancy Lenehan.
Candy Cane Lane is executive produced by Murphy himself, alongside Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, Karen Lunder, Charisse Hewitt-Webster, and Doug Merrifield.
