Grey’s Anatomy Stars Unite in Support of SAG-AFTRA Picket

ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy cast recently had a heartwarming reunion on Friday. They came together in a show of unity to stand by their union, gathering outside the Warner Bros. studio in Burbank.

The cast joined forces to support the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA). This actors’ union had been on strike for a solid three months. Kim Raver, known for her role as Dr. Teddy Altman, shared a video featuring the cast, set to Taylor Swift’s Cruel Summer. In the video, they were seen picketing, delivering speeches, and capturing memorable moments with photographs.

“Proud to stand in solidarity on the picket line today with many of our Grey’s cast/crew family and fellow #SAGAFTRA Union members today in front of Warner Brothers,” Raver expressed in the video’s caption.

Meanwhile, Sarah Drew (Dr. April Kepner), shared another video, stating: “We are out and we aren’t backing down!” Both the posts featured Grey’s Anatomy stars’ Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr., Harry Shum Jr., Caterina Scorsone, and Niko Tehro.

The Friday picket centered around actors who portray first responders in various roles on screen. This included police officers, firefighters, paramedics, ER doctors, and even animal rescue workers. In a social media post, the union clarified that the purpose of the picket was to pay tribute to “the heroes who inspire our screens and the ones who bring them to life.”
