Tom Holland’s Spider Man 4 could debut in theatres sooner rather than later for Marvel fans. The film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is expected to arrive on July 12, 2024, according to Cosmic Circus.
Spider Man 4’s release date is now two weeks after Thunderbolts, another MCU movie, but Marvel has previously changed its release calendar to accommodate the web standalone slinger’s movies since Sony is rumored to have the last word on when new Spider Man movies will be released.
Spider-Man 4 is supposed to be a street level drama that could be set in “the aftermath of Daredevil: Born Again,” however plot details are still sketchy. The symbiote suit hint from No Way Home’s post credits scene, according to Cosmic Circus, won’t appear in Spider Man 4 but will instead appear in one of the two upcoming Avengers movies.

Sony chairman Tom Rothman has already expressed his desire to reunite the original Spider Man trilogy’s cast. Jacob Batalon, who plays Ned Leeds, Peter Parker’s best buddy in the MCU, recently revealed that he is doubtful whether he would return for additional web-slinging antics.
“I feel like actors are the last people to know. I think that people assume that actors are always hiding secrets. I promise you, we don’t know anything,” he said in October 2022. “But again, if it’s the right place, at the right time, with the right group of people that we’ve been with, I would say, why not? But other than that, whatever happens, happens. Really, those decisions are up to the big bosses, the people who sign the checks. We’re open to the idea, but we’re not hoping for it.”
Sony is now working on multiple Marvel films for the big screen, including Spider-Man 4. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the anticipated follow up to 2018’s acclaimed Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, is also nearing completion at Sony’s animation studio.
