John Cena Weighs In on Dwayne Johnson & Vin Diesel’s ‘Fast & Furious’ Feud

John Cena recently shared his perspective on the ongoing feud between Fast & Furious stalwarts Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel.

During an appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, the WWE star delved into the behind-the-scenes tensions within the franchise.

Addressing the rumored conflict, Cena acknowledged the clash of two assertive personalities, stating, “You have two very alpha, driven people. You get two. There can only be one.”

Having joined the series in 2021’s F9: The Fast Saga as Jakob Toretto, Dom’s estranged brother, Cena reflected on his experience entering the Fast & Furious fold. He highlighted the respect owed to the franchise, emphasizing its nine-film legacy and status within the action genre.

Despite the reported discord, Cena underscored the importance of mutual respect within the Fast & Furious family, recognizing the significance of being part of such a renowned IP.

The feud between Johnson and Diesel came to light publicly in 2016 when Johnson aired grievances against his co-stars. While Diesel expressed hopes for Johnson’s return in Fast X, the latter opted out. However, signs of reconciliation emerged with Johnson’s cameo in the latest installment, hinting at a potential return in the upcoming 11th film.
