Ahead of its highly-anticipated premiere, Hulu’s latest offering, “Queenie,” unveils its first trailer, setting the stage for a captivating drama series.

Scheduled for a binge-worthy release on June 7, “Queenie” introduces viewers to the intricate world of its protagonist, a 25-year-old Jamaican British woman navigating life in south London.

As the trailer unfolds, audiences are drawn into Queenie Jenkins’ tumultuous journey, grappling with the complexities of identity, relationships, and self-discovery. Portrayed by newcomer Dionne Brown, Queenie finds herself at a crossroads, torn between her cultural heritage and the challenges of modern life.

Amidst a messy breakup and the quest for solace, Queenie embarks on a poignant exploration of her past, confronting long-buried truths to pave the way for a hopeful future.

Joining Brown in this compelling narrative are Bellah as Kyazike, Queenie’s childhood friend, and Samuel Adewunmi as Frank, Kyazike’s enigmatic cousin and Queenie’s intellectual equal.

Based on the acclaimed 2019 novel by Candice Carty-Williams, who also serves as the series creator and executive producer, “Queenie” promises a thought-provoking exploration of love, resilience, and the human spirit.

Produced by Further South Productions in collaboration with Lionsgate TV, the eight-episode series will exclusively stream on Hulu in the U.S., Channel 4 in the U.K. and the Republic of Ireland, Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ in other territories.
