On James Bond Day, Amazon Prime Video has given fans a sneak peek at their upcoming high-stakes competition show, 007: Road to a Million. The show, produced by MGM Alternative and 72 Films and featuring Bond regulars Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, promises to be a thrilling adventure.
In this series, as per Deadline, nine pairs of ordinary individuals will take on a series of challenges inspired by the iconic James Bond franchise. Their ultimate goal? To win a hefty prize of £1 million (approximately $1.2 million). But here’s the twist: Brian Cox, known for his role in Succession, takes on the enigmatic persona of “The Controller.”
As The Controller, Cox is the strategic mastermind who calls the shots. He dictates the pairs’ destinations, tasks, and questions. To access these questions, contestants must conquer challenges that push the boundaries of their physical endurance and mental resilience.
The journey takes them to breathtaking locations, including the majestic Highlands of Scotland, the remote Atacama Desert in Chile, the vibrant streets of Venice, and the stunning Swiss Alps.
007: Road to a Million promises to deliver suspense, excitement, and a Bond-worthy adventure as contestants strive to outwit The Controller and claim their chance at the million-pound prize.
The show is set to launch on November 10, just ahead of Netflix’s highly anticipated big-budget competition series, Squid Game: The Challenge.
