“The Nun 2” Sees Taissa Farmiga Return As Sister Irene

As Sister Irene, Taissa Farmiga is coming back for New Line’s The Nun 2. The movie will debut on September 8, 2023.

Following The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, the seventh and most recent instalment of The Conjuring franchise, which debuted to $24.1M at No. 1 at the box office last year and helped the franchise reach over $2 billion globally, Michael Chaves will helm The Nun 2. This will make The Nun 2 the highest-grossing horror series to date.

In the sequel to The Nun from 2018, which is still the $2 billion franchise’s highest-grossing novel, she joins previously mentioned Storm Reid. The WW value of The Conjuring Universe is $365.6M.

The Nun ($365.5M), The Conjuring 2 ($322M WW), The Conjuring ($320M WW), and Annabelle: Creation ($307M WW) are the four Conjuring films that have made the most money globally, placing them in the top 10 horror films of all time. The other three are also in the top thirty.
