Sony Pictures TV Elevates Suzanne Prete to President of Game Shows

In a significant move, Suzanne Prete, the driving force behind Sony Pictures Television’s game show division, has been promoted to President. Prete’s impact has been pivotal in propelling iconic shows like Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune to new heights.

Sony Pictures TV Chairman Ravi Ahuja shared the exciting news with a memo to the staff, highlighting Prete’s outstanding leadership.

As per Variety, Prete’s strategic approach not only secured a landmark five-year renewal deal with ABC for Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune but also expanded these syndicated hits into multi-faceted franchises with ventures like Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, Celebrity Jeopardy!, and Jeopardy! Masters.

With 29 years at the studio, Prete’s contributions extended beyond television. She played a crucial role in expanding ancillary businesses through strategic licensing deals, in-show product integrations, and business partnerships. Notably, she forged a multi-year licensing agreement for “Wheel of Fortune” with IGT, achieving unprecedented success in casinos and lottery gaming.

Prete’s influence continues to grow with the sale and production of a new U.S. adaptation of the format Raid the Cage for CBS. Additionally, she oversees the success of The $100,000 Pyramid on ABC, currently in its seventh season.
