‘Plan B’ of Brad Pitt Investigates Potential Sale

Plan B Entertainment, the renowned production business founded by Brad Pitt, is investigating a possible sale.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the business of Brad Pitt recruited international independent investment firm Moelis & Co. six months ago to investigate prospective business opportunities, including an outright sale.

In addition to “The Departed,” “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford,” “Kick-Ass,” “Moneyball,” “World War Z,” “12 Years a Slave,” “Selma,” “The Big Short,” “Moonlight,” “The Lost City of Z,” “Vice,” “Ad Astra,” “Minari,” and most recently “Blonde,” the company was founded in late 2001 and released its first movie in.

Despite apparently receiving multiple proposals, Plan B is still only at the exploratory stage right now

Candle Media, founded by Kevin Mayer and Tom Staggs, is leading the assault.

It recently paid $900 million for Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and reported $3 billion for Moonbug Entertainment, a provider of children’s entertainment. A24, which has collaborated with Plan B on several projects, announced a $225 million investment headed by Stripes following a rumoured attempt at a sale. Apollo Funds also paid $760 million for a minority investment in Legendary Entertainment.
