Michael Giacchino intends to explore more characters in ‘Werewolf by Night’

Michael Giacchino, the director of Werewolf by Night, explained why he would “absolutely” love to work with the characters again.

Werewolf by Night has received high marks from both critics and viewers since it was released. Giacchino stated in an interview with Collider that he would be willing to work on other Werewolf by Night projects if Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige approached him again.

“I love these characters,” the director said. “I mean, the reason I did this was because I love them so much. I think Elsa Bloodstone is an incredible character and Jack Russell. These are the people that I have such an affinity for. So would I want to do more with them? Absolutely, I’d want to do more with them. I have a lot of ideas of things I’d want to do.”

Giacchino added that there was a great deal of uncertainty about what the future would bring. Marvel Studio has not yet made any formal announcements regarding more Werewolf by Night projects.

“We’re just in that weird phase right now where it’s like, all right, well, let’s see what the future holds,” he said. “And I’m in a place too, for the first time in 20 some years that I don’t have a thing to just jump onto next.”

Fans have been wondering how Werewolf by Night fits into the MCU ever since the movie’s debut. Werewolf by Night “takes place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe,” the filmmaker admitted, but other than that, they never discussed anything outside of the project itself. “Absolutely, it’s there. We never explain how, when, or why “says the filmmaker.
