The Golden Globe awards will be held next year and no women have been nominated for best director.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association began the Golden Globes Awards in January 1944 to recognize excellence in both American and International film and television.
The nominees for the next year’s awards have been announced and no women have been nominated for the best director (again).

This year’s nominees mark the first time female directors have been completely excluded from the category. While a lot of female directors including The Woman King’s Gina Prince-Bythewood and Women Talking‘s Sarah Polley many other female directors are directors are not nominated for this category.
The Golden Globe 2023 awards ceremony will air live on NBC and Peacock on Tuesday, January 10.
