MasterChef India is ready to get Indians hooked back on the reality cooking series with Chef Vikas Khanna and Chef Ranveer Brar along with Chef Garima Arora who will be making her debut on the TV show.
Chef Arora in a recent interview at The Indian Express opens up about her expectations with the food on MasterChef India and says, “I am looking forward to authentic and community-driven food. Of course, the international flair would be there and various other cuisines but there will be equal focus on local food.”
Chef Brar, on the other hand, asserts that following Covid, everyone is experimenting with their culinary skills. For this reason, he wants to see the changes that the Pandemic has made to the recipes and is eager to discover something fresh in this series.
Brar says, “I think I am looking forward to witnessing the change the pandemic has made in the food ecosystem. People cooked so much, started cloud cooking. I want to see how much of it has trickled down factually and actually. Want to see how our vision towards food has changed.”
Getting the conversation back at Chef Arora, as to how the Michelin Star winner end up on MasterChef India. She claims that it was Chef Vikas who got her on board at the show. She says, “That moment alone was a big achievement for me. To be honest, it was he who started it and even pushed on both ends to get me here. It’s all because of him that I am sitting here.”
She adds to say that being the newbie at the MasterChef’s judges seat, she was very often bullied by Chef Khanna and Brar and says, “I was even ragged a bit.”
MasterChef India is available to watch on Sony Liv.
