Joe Jonas recalls how he auditioned for ‘The Amazing Spider Man’ but lost the role to Andrew Garfield.
Joe Jonas was all pumped up for the role of Spider Man. In an episode of Just for Variety podcast episode he says, “I remember years ago I was up for Spider-Man, and I was so, so excited, and it was the year Andrew Garfield got it.” He further says, “Obviously, he was the right one.”
The singer said he made it through the callback phase of the auditions and mentioned that, “But you know what? I love the process of auditioning and putting yourself out there and having to prove yourself.”
The 39-year-old actor then played the same part in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” from the prior year.
Sharing his journey about the acting career, Jonas said that he brings his A-game when his wife, actress Sophie Turner, is the one shooting and directing him through it.
Jonas says that Turner is his “biggest critic.”
