Customers of Roku can now subscribe to a basic version of Disney Plus, allowing them to save more.
According to CNET, Roku announced the availability of Disney Plus Basic plan on their supported device after four months, as the discounted plan was introduced in December by the platform.
Disney Plus ad-supported plan is available for a reduced price or $7.99 per month, and customers can now stream Disney’s full content. Also the shows and movies from Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and all the National Geographic Brands. Unlike their competitors such as Netflix removed some key titles from their discounted plan. However, it comes with the limitation of downloading content and the users will see ads while streaming shows and movies.
You can also save more as the Disney+ Basic is available in bundles.
The first bundle (Bundle Duo Basic) offers Disney+ Basic and Hulu with ads for $9.99 a month, while the second (Bundle Trio Basic) will have Disney+ Basic, Hulu with ads, and ESPN+ for $12.99 a month.
Netflix and HBO Max also have saving plans like this. Those plans cost $7 a month and $10 a month, respectively.
Roku is the No. 1 TV streaming as they have 70 million active users globally, and is the No. 1 TV streaming platform in North America.
You will need to update your Roku via system update to access the ad-supported version of Disney Plus (Settings > System > System Update).
