Emmy Award-winning director Whiteley, along with the team behind hit shows like “Cheer” and “Last Chance U,” will helm the production, ensuring audiences get an authentic glimpse into the drive, hustle, and camaraderie among the cheerleaders and coaches.

Longtime Cowboys cheer director Kelli Finglas, a former cheerleader herself who has been leading the squad since 1991, will feature prominently in the series, offering insights into the team’s legacy and dedication.

Excited fans took to social media to express their anticipation, with one enthusiast exclaiming, “My wildest dreams have come true,” while another eagerly declared, “Can’t wait to see them in action this summer.”

Since their inception in 1961, the Cowboys cheerleaders have become a cultural phenomenon, known for their iconic star-spangled uniforms and their extensive community service, including USO Tours for the American military.

While this isn’t the first time the Cowboys cheerleaders have graced the small screen, with the reality series “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team” airing on CMT from 2006 to 2022, the upcoming Netflix series promises to offer a fresh perspective on America’s most beloved cheerleading squad.
