Actor Annie Wersching loses battle to cancer

Video game voice actress Annie Wersching passed away from cancer at 45. Wersching also provided the Tess voiceover in the HBO adaptation of the computer game The Last of Us, which Anna Torv plays.

According to Wersching’s husband, actor Stephen Full, “this family today has a cavernous hole in the soul.”

“She did, however, leave us the means to do so. In the most mundane situation, she found wonder. She could dance without any accompaniment. She showed us that we shouldn’t wait for adventure to find us. “Go locate it. It’s all over. And we’ll locate it.”

Producer Jon Cassar of 24 and its directors both commented, “My heart is crushed in more pieces than I can count. Annie entered my life with an open mind and an infectious smile. I was astounded by the talent she displayed.”

He continued, “To me, my family, and every cast and crew person who worked with her, Annie developed into more than just a coworker; she became a true friend. They, as well as the fans she always made time to communicate with, will sincerely miss her. We will all miss Annie, but you left your imprint and made the world a better place.”
