Ted Field collaborates with James Leon’s 8th Gear to create action film

The action-thriller ‘Breakneck,’ which focuses on a female driver who switches between the worlds of getaway driving and Formula E racing, is being produced by James Leon’s 8th Gear Entertainment in collaboration with Ted Field’s Radar Pictures, best known for the ‘Jumanji and ‘The Chronicles of Riddick‘ franchises.

The plan for ‘Breakneck‘ is to create a franchise in the style of the ‘Fast & Furious‘ series, and the project is being developed in partnership with FIA ABB Formula E, which is responsible for organizing the championship of electric racing.

Breakneck

The film ‘Breakneck‘ follows the journey of a racer who rises up through the ranks of Formula E despite being an impoverished orphan. However, her first ePrix race ends in disaster and she is banned from the sport. In order to make a living, she becomes a getaway driver for a gang in Miami, all the while longing for her former life as a Formula E driver.

The filming of ‘Breakneck‘ is scheduled to start in July, with primary shooting taking place in London.
