Sam Raimi Speaks Out on Spider-Man 4 Rumors

Amid swirling rumors of a potential Spider-Man 4 featuring Tobey Maguire, director Sam Raimi has finally addressed the speculation, revealing that he’s not currently involved in any such project.

In an interview with CBR during WonderCon, Raimi responded to the rumors, stating, “Well, I haven’t heard about that yet. I did read that, but I’m not actually working on it yet.” He emphasized his appreciation for the recent Spider-Man movies, particularly Spider-Man: No Way Home, which reunited him with Maguire’s iconic portrayal of the web-slinger.

While Raimi expressed openness to the idea of directing a fourth Spider-Man film in a 2022 interview with ComicBook, he clarified that he hasn’t discussed it with Marvel or Columbia Pictures. Despite his positive relationship with Marvel, highlighted by his recent work on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Raimi remains uncertain about the possibility of returning to the Spider-Man franchise.
