Johannes Roberts to direct horror ‘The Not Polly’ starring Jade Pettyjohn

Bankside Films is starting international sales for the Johannes Roberts directed horror film The Not Polly as it enters the American Film Market. Yasushi Akimoto, a Japanese producer and executive in the music business, is working on the movie with Bankside and Roberts.

Akimoto created the story for the movie. Jade Pettyjohn, will play the most popular and attractive student in the school when she awakens after a party to discover that she is locked in a morgue, seemingly dead with no reflection, no pulse, no heartbeat. She has been possessed, which makes the situation worse.

Akimoto added: “It all started from an idea. What if one of the bodies at the morgue woke up and started searching for the truth. I wanted to make this concept into a horror movie. I am already very excited knowing Johannes Roberts of 47 Meters Down will be directing my original story.”

“The Not Polly is a completely original and hugely entertaining take on a horror story which audiences are going to have lot of fun with. Johannes who has proven time and again. He knows how to connect with broad audiences at the international box office and The Not Polly is set to be his next big hit.”Stephen Kelliher of Bankside Films
