The Spanish company Guardián de Dragones and China Film Animation’s animated action-adventure movie Dragonkeeper receives North American distribution rights from Viva Kids and Hulu.
After the movie’s theatrical premiere in August 2023, Hulu offer a domestic distribution.

With English-language voice actors Bill Nighy (Love Actually), Bill Bailey (Hot Fuzz), Anthony Howell (Alien: Isolation), and newcomer Mayalinee Griffiths as Ping, the film’s visual direction is handled by animation veteran Sergio Pablos (Despicable Me).
Salvador Simó, who also directed the Annecy film Buuel In The Labyrinth Of The Turtles, is the director of Dragonkeeper. The movie is expected to be the largest joint venture between Spain and China to date.
“There is no one better than Viva Kids to handle this gem of a film,” said Larry Levene “We are thrilled Viva has acquired North America rights to Dragonkeeper.”
Producers include Song Weiwei and Larry Levene (Guardan de Dragones) (China Film Animation). The agreement was arranged by Joe Della Rosa of CAA and Victor Elizalde of Viva Kids.
SC Films is handling international rights and will present newly completed footage to prospective buyers at Toronto. Theatrical releases have already been secured in Spain (A Contracorriente), China (China Film Group) and Latin America (Imagem).
