‘Survivor‘ is officially returning back to the U.K.
Survivor, a competition reality series is making its way to the U.K after 20 years. The show is now on its 43rd season in the United States, maroons members of the public are divided into two groups depending on a specific topic to play a game of social, mental, and physical skill in a remote place. People must establish their own tribal groups and engage in competitions in order to win prizes or immunity.
The show was previously aired on ITV in U.K where after two seasons, the series got cancelled because it couldn’t maintain a dedicated audience. The network acknowledged blame for not providing enough launch-phase support for the show, pointing out that the scheduling of the show was the main flaw in their strategy.
It is expected that along with other revived unscripted programmes like “Gladiators” and “The Osbournes: Home to Roost,” “Survivor” will be one of the public broadcaster’s most significant reality debuts of the year.
Applications are now being accepted through February 24 for the casting process.
