Michelle Williams will be honored with a Performer Tribute in Gotham Awards

During the 32nd annual Gotham Awards, which will be held in person on November 28 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, Michelle Williams will receive a Performer Tribute.

Following the theatrical debut of Steven Spielberg’s semi-autobiographical play The Fabelmans, which explores Williams’ background, on November 11, an homage will be given. Williams portrays Mitzi Fabelman in the Spielberg and Pulitzer Prize winner Tony Kushner-penned film, which is based on Spielberg’s mother.

Jeffrey Sharp, executive director of The Gotham Film & Media Institute, said, “We are especially happy to celebrate Michelle Williams, whose iconic performances in cooperation with our most illustrious directors have identified her as a top talent of her generation.”
