Focus Features sets ‘Of An Age’ 2023 release

Focus Features is working with Macedonian-Australian director Goran Stolevski again on his second movie, Of An Age, following the release of his feature directorial debut, You Won’t Be Alone. The movie will premiere on February 10, 2023, according to Focus, and will go nationwide on February 17.

The summer of 1999 is the setting for Stolevski’s film, which he also wrote, directed, and edited. A 17-year-old Australian amateur ballroom dancer who is of Serbian descent has an intense 24-hour affair with the brother of a friend. Elias Anton, Thom Green, and Hattie Hook are the film’s stars.

Of An Age had its Australian debut this summer as the Melbourne Film Festival’s opening-night movie. And went on to win one of that country’s most prized film awards at MIFF@CinefestOZ.

The movie was produced by Kristina Ceyton and Samantha Jennings of Causeway Films. Screen Australia, VicScreen, the Premiere Fund for the Melbourne International Film Festival, Kojo Studios, Bonsai Films, and Head Gear Films are some of the investors.

You Won’t Be Alone made its world premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. The film later won the best feature prize at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival . And was awarded the Carnet Jove Jury Award at Sitges – Catalonian International Film Festival.
