NSYNC Makes Surprise VMAs Appearance, Hints at Upcoming Project

In an unexpected and nostalgic moment, the iconic boy band NSYNC graced the stage at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), leaving fans in a frenzy. This marked their first appearance together in ten years, and their surprise reunion was met with thunderous applause.

Dressed in stylish shades of blue, grey, and white, the group took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about their past VMA-winning videos. However, the highlight of their appearance was presenting the Best Pop award to none other than the unstoppable Taylor Swift, who won for her hit Antihero.

Variety writes that Taylor Swift, a known NSYNC fan, couldn’t contain her excitement. Sitting front and center, she joined Ice Spice in giving Justin Timberlake and the gang a warm embrace.

Swift playfully confessed,

“I’m not doing well pivoting from this to this,”

Referring to her transition from an NSYNC fan to an award recipient. She even mentioned having NSYNC dolls in her collection.

But what truly ignited the audience’s curiosity was Swift’s question to the band,

“Are you guys gonna do something? I need to know what it is!”

While no official announcement has been made, speculation has been brewing about NSYNC’s return, with rumors of a new song written by Timberlake for the upcoming animated film Trolls Band Together.

The movie features Timberlake and is said to involve a boy band reunion storyline for his character, Branch. All four of NSYNC’s other members—JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick—are expected to join Timberlake in the film.

Hints of their reunion extended to Los Angeles, where posters featuring NSYNC’s logo and an animated troll hairstyle mysteriously appeared. While fans eagerly await more details, one thing is clear: NSYNC’s surprise VMAs appearance was a blast from the past that left everyone eager for their next move.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting reunion!
