Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, is eyeing a new gig post-NFL, and it’s not on the football field.
Reports suggest that Kelce is currently in discussions to host a reboot of the classic game show ‘Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?‘ for Amazon.
While talks are ongoing, no deal has been finalized yet. Kelce’s availability could also play a role as he seems geared up to continue his football career with the Super Bowl champions for another season.
This potential hosting role would mark Kelce’s debut as a game show host, stepping into the shoes of Jeff Foxworthy, who hosted the original version. Notably, Kelce has prior hosting experience from his time on the dating show ‘Catching Kelce‘ for the USA Network.
‘Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?‘ has seen multiple reboots over the years, with the format originally created by Mark Burnett. It enjoyed runs on Fox in the late 2000s and again in 2015, along with a syndicated version. Most recently, John Cena hosted a reboot on Nickelodeon in 2019.
The news of Kelce’s potential hosting gig was first reported by Perez Hilton, although Amazon has chosen to stay mum on the matter for now.
