Tom Holland is reportedly in talks to co-star with Robert Downey Jr. in Shane Black’s forthcoming murder thriller Play Dirty.
Only a few weeks ago, Deadline claimed that the movie would be the first in a series of film and television projects based on the late Donald E. Westlake’s Parker books.
The Parker series’ main protagonist is a vicious thief who will do whatever it takes to complete the job and avoid the cops. He’s not a sadist, but if murdering you helps him accomplish the job, say your prayers.
It is undisclosed who Holland will play in Play Dirty, or whether he’ll return in one of Parker’s other projects. Westlake created and published 28 Parker books with a huge array of recurrent characters over the span of 46 years, using the pen name Richard Stark.
