The next earth Avatar series will be coming in 2025.
After Aang and Korra, Avatar Studios is presently working on the next Avatar. Following the subsequent earth Avatar in the cycle, an original animated streaming series is set in the future after The Legend of Korra.
The Avatar’s era will be revealed, but based on prior Avatars, it can be roughly estimated that if it takes place about 100 years after Korra’s time, it will be in the Avatar world’s equivalent of the current day. The film Avatar will also be released in the future.
With the release of both this new series and the adult Aang movie, the year 2025 will be a massive launch year for the animation universe created by Avatar Studios. They are purposefully releasing both in the same year as a part of a much larger scheme. Since the movie is currently assumed to be Avatar Studios’ first endeavor of any type, this series would presumably debut after that, towards the very end of the year, most likely in November or December 2025. Naturally, there could be delays, but they are currently working on several projects concurrently.
The live-action Young Aang series, which will debut in 2023, is the second upcoming Avatar original streaming series. The second season of the live-action ATLA is anticipated to debut in 2025, joining the adult animation film Gaang and the animated next earth Avatar series to create the biggest year of Avatar EVER.
