Variety has confirmed that Tekashi 6ix9ine was taken to the hospital following an assault by a group of individuals in the bathroom of a gym in South Florida on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old rapper, whose legal name is Daniel Hernandez, suffered facial injuries and bruises, as reported by his lawyer, Lance Lazzaro. Lazzaro stated that Tekashi was assaulted by three or four men both inside and outside the sauna at the LA Fitness gym.
Despite attempting to defend himself, he sustained cuts and bruises to his face. According to Lazzaro, the perpetrators fled the scene when gym employees intervened after hearing the commotion.
Lazzaro informed that the police were summoned to the scene and Hernandez was taken to a nearby hospital via ambulance. It is currently uncertain whether the rapper is still receiving medical treatment.
