Scarlett Johansson is set to play the lead role in an Amazon limited series based on the John Katzenbach book Just Cause.
The book was published in the 1992. A source familiar with the production claims that Johansson will portray Madison “Madi” Cowart, the character’s female counterpart. In the book, a death row inmate who claims to be innocent writes to Cowart. As the investigation progresses, it becomes clear that there are further horrors lurking in the shadows in addition to the inmate’s prosecution’s tenuous case.
The book previously adapted for the screenplay in 1995 and so it will be second time Just Cause will be turned into a film.
The two time Oscar nominee star has shown her talent in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well. She has played several roles and has done eight films till date. This is the first time the popular actress is making her way on the television screens that will air on Amazon.
