Comcast will no longer offer free access to the streaming service Peacock Tv starting next month, as the partnership between NBCUniversal and Comcast comes to an end.
Peacock, despite having over 22 million subscribers, reported a significant loss of $704 million in revenue for the first quarter of 2023.
From June 26th, 2023, Comcast members will receive a free sample of Peacock, featuring a selection of channels with on-demand TV series and films. However, for new Peacock Originals and NBC series, only the first episode will be available to samplers. If you find something you like, make sure to take advantage of the limited window to continue using Peacock.
Eligible users will have the option to resubscribe to Peacock Premium through a limited-time offer, either via their televisions or by visiting Peacock’s website. A reminder email will be sent to all Peacock Premium Plus members when the service provider removes the no-cost option.
Both Peacock Premium and Peacock Premium Plus members will have access to the same content, including live sports events and a wide range of films and TV Shows. The only difference is that Peacock Premium Plus members can enjoy ad-free streaming of video content and also stream local NBC channels.
Comcast users who choose not to resubscribe will be automatically switched to the free sample version of Peacock, and recurring payments for the service will cease.
