Noah Hawley long awaited ‘Alien’ series gears up for production

The long-awaited Alien series from Noah Hawley will finally start filming this year.

The fifth season of Fargo is now in production, but FX Boss John Landgraf revealed at TCA that Noah is actively preproducing the long-gestating series Alien and has produced scripts. I believe he will be planning for production this year after finishing the fifth season of Fargo by meeting with his production designer in Austin this weekend. At last year’s virtual TCA winter tour, Landgraf specified that Hawley’s Alien, “takes place before Ripley. It’s the first story that takes place in the Alien franchise on Earth.”

“It occurs on our globe. We’re right at the end of this century, so roughly 70 years from now,” Landgraf continued.

Ripley and the other Alien characters aside from the alien itself will not appear in it, the executive claimed.

At the Disney Investor Day in December 2020, Hawley made his first announcement regarding his Alien series amid the epidemic. Stars of the show include Richa Moorjani, Lamorne Morris, Jon Hamm, Joe Keery, and Juno Temple. Nick Gomez, Jessica Pohly, Sam Spruell, Dave Foley, and David Rydahl.
