Netflix has given the green light for the second season of the ‘Money Heist‘ spin-off, ‘Berlin,’ created by Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato. Set to commence filming next year, the show continues the saga of Berlin, portrayed by Pedro Alonso, and his gang, building on the global triumph of Netflix Spain’s ‘La Casa de Papel’ (Money Heist). Serving as a prequel, the spin-off explores Berlin’s earlier escapades.
As per Deadline, the returning cast includes Pedro Alonso as Berlin, along with Michelle Jenner as Keila, an electronic engineering expert, Tristán Ulloa as Damián, a philanthropic professor and Berlin’s confidant, Begoña Vargas as Cameron, a daring kamikaze, Julio Peña Fernández as Roi, Berlin’s loyal squire, and Joel Sánchez as Bruce, the unwavering man of action in the gang.

Netflix revealed that ‘Berlin‘ dominated global viewership during its premiere week, securing a spot in the top 10 in 91 countries. The series remained in the non-English TV top 10 for seven consecutive weeks, accumulating 348 million hours viewed and 53 million total views.
Álex Pina’s Vancouver Media is once again at the production helm for this highly anticipated second season.
‘Money Heist,’ spanning three seasons across five parts, originally aired on Antena 3 before Netflix picked it up. The series concluded in 2021, establishing itself as one of Netflix’s most beloved international titles.
As fans eagerly await the next chapter in Berlin’s thrilling narrative, Netflix continues to deliver compelling content, solidifying its position as a global streaming powerhouse.
