Prime Video has finally announced the release date for the highly anticipated Mirzapur Season 3. Fans of the gripping Indian crime thriller can mark their calendars for July 5.
Originally created by Karan Anshuman and Puneet Krishna, Mirzapur delves into the dark world of power, revenge, and betrayal set in northern India. The third season is penned by Apurva Dhar Badgaiyann, Avinash Singh Tomar, Avinash Singh, and Vijay Narayan Verma.
Prime Video’s statement teases higher stakes and a larger canvas in Season 3. “The rules remain the same, but all eyes are on the coveted throne in Mirzapur. Will it be earned or snatched in this battle of power and dominance where trust is a luxury no one can afford?” the statement read.
Season 3 is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Media and Entertainment. The 10-episode season is directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Anand Iyer.
The ensemble cast boasts big names like Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Anjumm Shharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Rajesh Tailang, Sheeba Chadha, Meghna Malik, and Manu Rishi Chadha.
Nikhil Madhok, head of Hindi originals at Prime Video India, expressed excitement for the new season. “With its authenticity, well-etched characters, relentless pace, and nuanced storyline, Mirzapur has captured hearts worldwide.
