MCU Beyond Phase Four: Exciting Roster from X-Men ’97 to the Epic Finale of Phase 6

As Black Panther: Wakanda Forever concluded Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans eagerly anticipate the future, and Marvel doesn’t disappoint. With a slew of films and TV shows scheduled until 2025, the MCU continues to captivate audiences with beloved characters and fresh faces.

In 2022, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, and the Black Panther sequel graced the big screen, while Disney+ premiered Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Specials like Werewolf by Night and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special added seasonal charm.

Phase Five commenced with Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania in 2023, followed by the TV debut of Daredevil: Born Again and the cinematic arrival of Blade. The narrative then delves into the menacing Kang the Conqueror, the latest formidable foe in Phase Six, which culminates with two consecutive Avengers movies, concluding the Multiverse Saga.

X-Men '97

A standout addition is the animated series ‘X-Men ’97,’ a nostalgic journey to the iconic ’90s timeline. Head writer Beau DeMayo, speaking at Comic-Con 2022, emphasized its significance as Marvel reclaims X-Men rights from Fox.

The series features the classic lineup of Rogue, Gambit, Wolverine, Jubilee, Cyclops, Storm, Jean Grey, and Beast, introducing new members like Sunspot, Cable, Bishop, and Nightcrawler. The villain roster includes Seb Shaw, Emma Frost, Calypso, Val Cooper, and Mister Sinister.

The first trailer, released in February, hints at a compelling storyline. Following Dr. Charles Xavier’s demise, Cyclops leads the team in upholding Xavier’s legacy. However, a significant challenge arises with the return of Magneto, who asserts himself as Xavier’s rightful heir.

Marvel’s journey unfolds with excitement, blending legacy and innovation for an epic cinematic experience.
