Marvel Studios recruits writer Michael Waldron for “Avengers: Secret Wars”

Marvel Studios broadcasts that Loki and Doctor Strange within the Multiverse of Madness author Michael Waldron will pen Avengers: Secret Wars.

Deadline reports that Marvel has hired Waldron to pen the script for one of the two future Avengers movies that will wrap up Phase Six, fresh off the success of his work on Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The plot’s specifics are still undisclosed, but Waldron has so far contributed to some of Marvel’s Phase Four’s largest multiverse initiatives.

Despite their tight relationship, Avengers: Secret Wars and its immediate precursor, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, purportedly have different writers and directors.
