The Acolyte is still without an official release date, although production is expected to start in London some time later this year.

The mystery-thriller The Acolyte will be set in the closing days of the High Republic era and will transport viewers into a galaxy of murky secrets and developing dark-side powers. The project title makes reference to a Sith who is in the early phases of their training under an established Sith Lord, while more information about its characters has not yet been made public.

Leslye Headland (Russian Doll), who will also serve as the show runner for the Disney+ series serves as executive producer. This fall’s production is anticipated to start.

In addition to The Acolyte, Lucasfilm is also currently developing a number of Star Wars projects, including The Mandalorian season three, Andor, and more.
