Kim Kardashian, reality TV queen and recent star of American Horror Story: Delicate, is extending her acting portfolio in a new Hulu legal drama, reuniting with prolific writer-producer Ryan Murphy.
As per Deadline, the project, created by Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken, features Kardashian as Los Angeles’ most successful divorce lawyer and the proprietor of an all-female law firm. Kris Jenner, Kardashian’s mom, joins as an executive producer. The series marks Kardashian’s scripted producing debut.
While Kim returns to the scripted world, she will continue with her Hulu reality hit, The Kardashians, premiered in 2022.
In the Hulu legal drama, Kardashian’s character dives into the legal intricacies of divorce, a stark contrast to her real-life pursuit of a law degree. Having passed California’s “baby bar” exam, Kim Kardashian is humorously contemplating a career shift, quipping,
“Kim K is retiring, and I’m just going to be an attorney.”
The legal drama venture adds another feather to Ryan Murphy’s cap, being his debut series for Hulu and part of his Disney overall deal. After Kardashian’s standout role in AHS: Delicate, the duo’s collaboration continues to draw attention.
This news comes less than a week after the announcement of Kim’s involvement in another Netflix comedy movie The Fifth Wheel.
With production set to commence in late 2024, the series aims for a spring 2025 premiere. Kardashian’s foray into acting demonstrates her commitment to diverse roles and expanding her career beyond reality TV.
