“Jurassic World Dominion” crosses $1B at Worldwide Box Office

Jurassic World Dominion broke the $1 billion box office barrier worldwide. The domestic and foreign box office totals as of Thursday are just over $376M and just over $624M, respectively.

Jurassic World Dominion is the third instalment in the Jurassic World trilogy, whose cumulative global box office is currently $6.02B, and the seventh Universal release to gross $1 billion worldwide to become the second film after Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick to achieve this feat, this year.

The movie, which stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum, began an early overseas launch at the start of June and made more than $500 million worldwide in its first two weeks (one of only 10 Hollywood movies to the mark during the pandemic and one of six in 2022). It reached $600M internationally in June.

In India, it saw a start of over 10 crores including paid previews and showed an upward trend during the weekend. The first-weekend collection of the movie stands at Rs 31.8 Cr. However, crossed the 50 crore mark on the 2nd weekend itself.
