Jennifer Yale Takes the Helm as Co-Showrunner for James Wan/Simu Liu Project on Peacock TV

In a strategic move, Peacock TV has announced that Jennifer Yale, known for her work on “See,” will join the James Wan/Simu Liu project as co-showrunner. The espionage techno-thriller, part of Peacock’s recent TCA winter press tour reveals, is gaining momentum with this latest addition.

Yale, alongside creator/writer/EP Thomas Brandon of “Legacies,” will steer the untitled project, set to unfold five minutes into the future.

Simu Liu, playing first-generation American intelligence analyst Alexander Hale, discovers his brain has been hacked, exposing his every perception to unknown infiltrators. Balancing his allegiance between a covert agency and elusive hackers, Hale embarks on a 24/7 performance to unmask the culprits.

Simu Liu also steps into the role of executive producer, joining forces with James Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett under the Atomic Monster banner. UCP, a Universal Studio Group subsidiary, handles the production.

Jennifer Yale, with an impressive portfolio including Apple+’s “See” and Netflix’s Chambers,” is concurrently developing “De La Resistance” and “The Butcher & The Wren” for A24 and Paramount+, respectively.

Her recent projects, “Your Friends and Neighbors” for Apple+ and “The Spire” for Fremantle/Roku, showcase her versatility. With a rich background in acclaimed series like “Legion,” “Da Vinci’s Demons,” and “Outlander,” Yale brings a wealth of experience to this new venture.
