Jennifer Garner, known for her successful collaborations with Netflix, including hits like Family Leave and Yes Day, is set to star in the streaming giant’s upcoming holiday comedy, Mrs. Claus, from Hello Sunshine.
While Netflix has remained tight-lipped about the plot, sources reveal that Garner’s involvement adds to the anticipation surrounding the project. With her recent work on The Adam Project alongside Ryan Reynolds garnering massive viewership, expectations are high for her latest venture.
The film’s script is penned by Leah McKendrick, known for her work on the egg-freezing dramedy Scrambled. Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine will produce the project, further solidifying Garner’s partnership with the production company, especially after their collaboration on the acclaimed Apple TV+ series The Last Thing He Told Me.
Garner’s versatility as an actress shines through in her diverse roles, from the upcoming true-crime pic Fruitcake to her executive-producing and starring role in The Last Thing He Told Me, which recently received a second season order.
McKendrick’s involvement adds another layer of excitement, given her track record and recent projects. With Hello Sunshine’s ambitious lineup, including the highly anticipated Amazon MGM Studios’ comedy You’re Cordially Invited, starring Witherspoon and Will Ferrell, expectations for Mrs. Claus are undoubtedly high.
Garner’s talent agency CAA, along with other industry players, represents her, while McKendrick is represented by UTA and Witherspoon by CAA. With such a talented team behind it, Mrs. Claus promises to be a holiday treat for Netflix viewers.
