HSMTMTS casts original film series stars; Monique Coleman, Kaycee Stroh, Lucas Grabeel, and more for season 4.
Alyson Reed, Bart Johnson, and East High alum Monique Coleman will all be reprising their legendary roles in season 4 of the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. According to a Friday announcement from Disney the three actors join fellow cast members Corbin Bleu, Kaycee Stroh, and Lucas Grabeel, who have all been on the show before and will all be back for the forthcoming season.
The present East High students, including Joshua Bassett, Sofia Wylie, and Dara Reneé, who are attempting to stage a play of High School Musical 3: Senior Year, may run into some issues as a result of their epic reunion.
Principal Gutierrez reveals that Disney has chosen to film the eagerly anticipated High School Musical 4: The Reunion movie on site at their cherished high school, according to an official statement. It was also mentioned that this season would include both original songs and tunes from the High School Musical movies.
Three of the most prominent actors from the original film series Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Tisdale were conspicuously absent from Disney’s hiring announcement.
According to the Executive Producer Tim Federle, “I would be lying to you if I said that at this stage there’s some grand Zac and Vanessa plan.” “I’ve been pounding away at this quietly and slowly for years: I won’t sleep until Zac, Vanessa, Ashley, and Monique do the series in some capacity while this show is still on the air. The plans are in place, but do not expect a significant showing in season 3 just yet.”
