Hidetaka Miyazaki shares his future plans after Elden Rings won the game of the year award.
Elden Ring is an action role-playing game where combat and exploration are the main game mechanics. It has components that are reminiscent of those in other FromSoftware games like Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and the Dark Souls series.
In the game, players command a character that may be customised as they travel to fix the titular Elden Ring and take over as the new Elden Lord. Players are able to explore the game’s dynamic open environment while viewing it from a third-person perspective.
Miyazaki, director of the game Elden Rings shared his thoughts while receiving the award. He says, “I’ve made up my mind to create more interesting games than this one. We create games and do our best because of you (game lovers). As for Elden Rings we still have super more things we want to do so getting this game of the year award really encourages us.”
