Henry Cavill says he is no longer returning as Superman.
Henry Cavill earlier confirmed that he will be reprising the role of Superman but now it seems like the actor has some bad news for his fans. The DC co-heads have confirmed the news and the actor also announced on his Instagram that he will not be returning as Superman.
Things have been heating up since the new co-heads have taken the lead of DC studios. James Gunn tweeted that both the co-heads have some exciting projects coming up for their fans in the new year.
Gunn tweeted, “Among those on the slate is Superman. In the initial stages, our story will be focusing on an earlier part of Superman’s life, so the character will not be played by Henry Cavill. But we just had a great meeting with Henry and we’re big fans and we talked about a number of exciting possibilities to work together in the future.”
Cavill announced the news on his Instagram about him not returning as Superman.
The fans still await to see who will play the role of Superman. James Gunn shared that more details on the reimagined DC Universe are expected to come in January.
