Glen Powell has broken his silence on the swirling rumors of a romance with his Anyone But You co-star Sydney Sweeney.
The alleged affair speculation took flight earlier this year when Powell, and Sweeney, were frequently spotted together off-screen during the filming and promotion of their upcoming romantic comedy.
Talking to Men’s Health in a recent interview, Powell dismissed the rumors as “unfair” and acknowledged the disorienting nature of public scrutiny in Hollywood.
The speculations intensified when Powell split from his then-girlfriend, model Gigi Paris, around the same time the behind-the-scenes chemistry between Powell and Sweeney became a hot topic. Sweeney, best known for her work in Euphoria and engaged to restaurateur Jonathan Davino since 2022, brushed off the drama in a recent Variety interview, stating,
“It’s a rom-com. That’s what people want! Glen and I don’t really care. We have so much fun together, and we respect each other so much.”
Powell also shared insights into his personal life, expressing the need for a partner who can navigate the uncertainties of his Hollywood career.
“Honestly, I really try to be a great partner. When I love, I love hard. I also understand that the speed and uncertainty of my life is a very hard thing to put up with,”
