Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery dominates the top Netflix movies.
A few days after the release of the movie, it dominated the top 10 Netflix and has become the #1 movie on the streamer. The murder-mystery group appears to be headed for a spectacular launch. The fact that five of the ten titles on Netflix’s current Top 10 list are holiday films only some of them Netflix originals is perhaps the least shocking aspect of the list. The fact that Sony’s 2022 horror film The Invitation is hot on the heels of Glass Onion is the most unexpected aspect of the Top 10.
The original Knives Out, starring Daniel Craig, made over $300 million at the movie office worldwide and advanced to an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay. However, the official number for the sequel will not be out till Tuesday.
Sharing the plans for the third movie of the franchise, Rian Johnson, the showrunner says, “I still have to start writing Knives Out 3, I gotta figure out what the next Benoit Blanc mystery is, what it’s called, where it’s set. So, I got a lot of work to do. So, TBD, I don’t wanna give myself a deadline yet ’cause I definitely won’t meet it.”
The filmmaker has revealed that there will be a third part of the movie, however, it will take a bit of time as he needs to figure out the new mystery.
The movie is currently being premiered on Netflix.
