The 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards host will be Drew Barrymore. The annual awards ceremony, honoring the finest in film and television, will be broadcast live from the Barker Hanger in Los Angeles on Sunday, May 7 at 8 PM ET/PT.
Last year, Spider-Man: No Way Home and HBO’s Euphoria took the top movie and television awards, respectively.
The MTV Movie & TV Awards are nothing new for Barrymore. She has won three Golden Popcorn Awards out of a total of nine nominations. For “Best Kiss” in The Wedding Singer, she received her first prize. She additionally won for Charlie’s Angels’ ‘Best On-Screen Team’ (2001).
Her most recent MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted nomination was for Best Talk/Topical Program. She and Adam Sandler received a “Dynamic Duo” award at the MTV Awards: Greatest of All Time in 2020.
Barrymore currently is host of the syndicated daytime talker The Drew Barrymore Show, which was renewed on CBS Stations through the 2023-2024 season.
