Denis Villeneuve Calls ‘The Fabelmans’ is ‘Best Movie Ever Made’

It is not be easy to contemplate the capabilities of Steven Spielberg, the person who invented the blockbuster movies such as Jaws and Catch Me If You Can. At the DGA event last night, Québécois filmmaker Denis Villeneuve spoke highly of Spielberg and The Fabelmans, to the extent that it bordered on excessive praise.

During the previous year’s DGA event, Villeneuve’s fondness for Spielberg’s movies was quite visible when he delivered an emotional speech in honor of the filmmaker. Moreover, He specifically mentioned “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” as the movie that had a significant impact on him, and shared a childhood anecdote about playing ice hockey with a jersey that had the name ‘Spielberg’ on it, which gave him the “confidence to face his opponents.”

“The Fabelmans’ is the best movie ever made about the power of cinema. It’s a miracle. To say that I was deeply moved by this movie is an understatement. ‘The Fabelmans’ is a pure act of artistic generosity made by one of the greatest filmmakers of our time.” says filmmaker Villeneuve.

Not only this but the director of “Dune” stepped down from the stage after his last comment, “after all these years you are still a pure source of inspiration, so sir I salute you”.
