CBS Renews ‘Ghosts’ and ‘Fire Country’ for New Seasons

In a move that thrilled fans, CBS has greenlit Season 4 of the beloved comedy Ghosts and Season 3 of the riveting drama Fire Country.

The renewal comes amidst the backdrop of last year’s industry upheaval, with both shows launching their latest seasons in mid-February, adjusting to the challenges posed by the writers’ and actors’ strike.

As per Variety, Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, expressed her excitement, highlighting the enduring appeal of both series. She praised their compelling narratives, stellar performances, and expanding viewer base, underscoring the network’s commitment to delivering quality content.

According to CBS, Ghosts commands an impressive viewership of 10.2 million per episode in Live+7 multiplatform viewing, while Fire Country follows closely with an average of 9.2 million viewers.

Ghosts

Ghosts, adapted from the UK series, boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Brandon Scott Jones. Developed by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, the series has garnered critical acclaim for its refreshing take on supernatural comedy.

Meanwhile, Fire Country captivates audiences with its intense storytelling and compelling performances led by Max Thieriot. Co-created by Thieriot, Tony Phelan, and Joan Rater, the drama promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats in its upcoming season.

As CBS continues to shape its 2024-2025 broadcast lineup, these renewals join a roster of exciting developments, including the Young Sheldon spinoff and the highly anticipated NCIS prequel series.

With the network’s commitment to delivering captivating storytelling, fans can expect more thrilling adventures from their favorite shows in the seasons to come.
