Originally, “Beetlejuice” followed the misadventures of a deceased couple, played by Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis, as they attempted to scare away the Deetz family from their home with the help of the enigmatic Beetlejuice. The film’s blend of humor and horror captivated audiences, earning it a dedicated following and inspiring a successful Broadway musical adaptation.
Despite production delays caused by the SAG-AFTRA strike, Burton persevered, completing filming and delivering a sequel that promises to captivate both longtime fans and newcomers alike.
With a stellar cast, a script by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, and Burton’s visionary direction, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is set to haunt theaters on Sept. 6.
